His loving family was at his bedside.Jamie was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a natural athlete, and was very good at any sport he participated in, especially football and baseball, which he played for Pound High School and Limestone College in Spartanburg, S.C. Later he enjoyed coaching his sons and others kids in the area. He coached little league and junior league baseball and peanut football. He loved everybody’s  kids like he did his own.He was extremely proud of his sons. Jamie enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time at the lake with his family and friends.Jamie was a former heavy equipment operator and  was also a former owner of Saba Market in Pound. Jamie had a very outgoing personality and was quick to make friends. He had a big smile and a kind heart.Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Dotson: his paternal grandparents, Bascom and Gertrude (Gibson) Dotson; and his maternal grandparents, Everett and Leota (Stallard) Cantrell.Survivors include his mother, Francis Dotson-Pound; his sons, Austin Dotson and Devin Dotson-Pound; his granddaughter Landrie Dotson; his wife, Roberta Dotson-Clintwood; his sisters, Kay Boggs and husband, Ebby-Mooresburg, Tenn. and Pam Cantrell and husband Max-Pound; his nephews, Brandon Cantrell and wife Joy and Brad Boggs; his niece, Dana Hall and husband Danny; his great-nieces and nephews Claire, Payton, McKenzie, Grayson, Gabby and Ian; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones to mourn his passing and cherish his memory.Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of services.Graveside services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Eli Mullins Cemetery-Pound, where Austin Dotson, Devin Dotson, Roger Thompson, Adrian Moore, Robbie Mullins, Brandon Cantrell and Brad Boggs will serve as pallbearers. H. and SOUTH GLENS FALLS — Jerome Scott Foglietta Jr. passed away on April 15, 2017 in Dover, New Hampshire.Born in Glens Falls, Jerome was a young 30 years old and is survived by his mother, Tina Foglietta of Lake George; his father, Jerome Foglietta Sr. of Queensbury; his sister, Jessica Ergmann of Exeter, New Hampshire, and his brother-in-law, Stephen Ergmann of Exeter, New Hampshire; his nephew, Jackson Ergmann of Exeter, New Hampshire; his grandparents, Dolores and Dave Blodgett of Wilton, and Rose Wadsworth of South Glens Falls; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom loved him and he loved dearly.Jerome was best known for his smile and his hugs. His smile could light up a room and his hugs made you feel safe and warm. Jerome loved to spend time on Glen Lake, boating, tubing, wakeboarding and fishing. He loved riding his motorcycle, as it was one of the only times he truly felt free. Jerome’s family was his world, and we will all miss him more than words can say.Jerome struggled with addiction for many years. He suffered from this horrible disease, and he truly tried so hard to beat it. He wanted to get sober so he could dedicate his life to helping others so that they never had to suffer like he did. Roland 'Pops' Mitchell - Glens Falls Post-Star

Roland was born in Charleton, on Sept. 6, 1923 to Katherine and James Mitchell.After graduating he immediately joined the Navy.He is a World War II veteran, he proudly served our country as a naval officer in the capacity of Gunners Mate 2nd class on the submarine USS Scabberfish from 1942 until 1946 .He married his wife Kay and had three children, and owned and operated service stations from 1946-67 in Rotterdam and Ballston Spa. In 1967 he married his late wife Shirley Beswick (Mitchell) at which time he then dedicated his life to helping to raise her four children and their son, as well as grand children.Roland retired from a career at GE of Schenectady as a milling machine operator in 1983 in his words to “Chase the salmon and trout” and he and Shirley pursued their dream of travel and adventure. He was passionate about fly fishing, there wasn’t many streams, lake or pond that he didn’t fish in the Northeast, Canada and even as far as Alaska.His second passion was Whitetail deer hunting. Every Fall you could find him at his camp nestled at the base of Hayes Mountain in Minerva. His favorite season was Fall, he made 19 consecutive trips to Cape Britain Island, Nova Scotia in pursuit of the Atlantic Salmon. In most recent years it was a common thing for him to be on his son’s logging jobs regularly; he loved the smell of fresh cut wood. He often in his younger days cut and split wood to pay for his fishing and hunting trips.Roland was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend to all he loved and he was loved by all. He was well known for wit and humor, his wink and the twinkle of his blue eyes. One of his favorite most recent pastimes was playing with or watching his newest granddaughter Allie.Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his wife, Shirley; brothers, Richard and Timothy Mitchell; sister, Marguerite White; step daughter, Linda Mitchell; and grandson, Alfred (Alfie) Sutch.He is survived by his brother, Trent and his wife Judy of Gallaway; daughters, Susan and her husband Fred Sutch of Gallaway, Kathy Palmer of Schenectad...
